Smart Bro (By SMART subsidiary Smart Broadband)

Smart Broadband is a wholly owned subsidiary of SMART. It is the former Meridian Telekoms, Inc., which was acquired by Smart in September 2004.

The wireless broadband and data services arm of SMART, it operates under a legislative franchise (Republic Act 8337) and has provisional authorities to operate issued by the Philippines’ National Telecommunications Commission. It offers Smart Bro, a broadband Internet service.

Pilipino Telephone Corporation (PilTel)

Pilipino Telephone Corporation (Piltel), is a subsidiary of Smart Communications, Inc. (SMART) , the largest wireless services provider in the Philippines. As of end-March 2009, Piltel now has over 15.6 million prepaid subscribers under the GSM brand Talk 'N Text , the second-largest brand in the country.

Piltel was incorporated in the Philippines with limited liability on July 18, 1968, and was listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange in July 1995. Until 1991, Piltel's sole business was providing fixed line telecommunications services in eight cities and municipalities in the Philippines. Since 1991, Piltel has operated cellular telephone services using various technologies ranging from analog AMPS technology to the digital CDMA technology. In April 2000, Piltel launched its GSM prepaid cellular service under the brand name Talk 'N Text.

Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd

Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. is a Chinese employee-owned private company that is engaged in the production and sales of telecommunications equipment as the main business. Established in 1988 in Shenzhen, China, Huawei has been steadily expanding its operations outside of China since 1996.
